Restoring the original factory image erases ALL existing data

 
  
   

A100, A110, L100 & L30 Range

Insert the recovery DVD and restart the notebook

  1. Tap the C key and the DVD will load to the language selection screen:

  2. Select your language and then click Next

  3. The standard setting is to use the entire hard drive for the recovery. If you wish to customise the recovery click the Settings button for further options. Click Next to start the recovery with the standard settings.

  4. A warning will appear about data loss, click OK to continue

  5. The recovery procedure will now commence, this process takes approximately 30 minutes. The screen above will appear showing the progress

  6. When completed click OK on the pop-up window

  7. Remove the Product Recovery DVD from the drive and click Exit to complete the recovery and your notebook will shutdown.

  8. When you switch your notebook on you will go the through the normal Windows setup. When you finish entering your information you will get ot the Windows desktop, where the final software setup will complete asking you to restart when complete.

Click Restart to finish the process and restart your notebook.

M, A60, A80, L10, L20, M40X, M50 & M70 Range

  1. Insert the recovery DVD and restart the notebook

  2. Tap the C key (or press F12 and select CD/DVD with the cursor keys and press Enter) and the DVD will load to the main screen:

  3. Press 1 to begin the recovery

  4. You will be warned that all data will be lost. Press 1 to continue or 2 to Cancel:

  5. The recovery image will now be copied

  6. The process takes approximately 20 minutes. Once complete the user is prompted to remove the DVD and press CTRL, ALT and DEL to restart
